"Green fuels", such as propane, CNG, and ethanol are gaining in popularity for their clean burning properties. While this may be good for the environment, it can mean trouble for your hot rod. All these fuels are dry and burn hot. They provide little or no lubrication for your engine's valve guides, seats, rings, and cylinder bores. Valve seat recession will reduce compression, leading to loss of power, decreased fuel economy, and an eventual valve job! The Ampco Top Cylinder Lubricator is the solution to these problems! This easy-to-install oil delivery device is designed and engineered to supply a constantly metered, undiluted vapor of oil to your engine's critical heat/friction/wear zone - the combustion chamber. Actuated by manifold vacuum, lubricant is evenly distributed to each cylinder, where it reduces friction, temperature, valve seat and ring wear, and removes carbon deposits which can cause pre-ignition.
